Trevor Hebert likes to play. In fact, for the last several years he’s been running an inline skating company that mentors elementary kids in skating. He makes the rounds, taking bins of skates to schools throughout the year and teaching children of all ages. When he’s not skating in Stanley Park, he also enjoys playing golf, hockey and baseball. But during the summer, Hebert likes to play poker.

He started playing at home about three years ago and then moved on to live cash games. He enjoys playing poker because it gets his heart going and as he says, “It’s a thrill.” He also says the tattoos he has up and down his arms are as addicting as that rush. Most of them are dedicated to the memory of his father who passed away when he was just five years old.

Trevor says that he is not intimidated by playing with professional players because he considers them to be really cool guys. When he’s playing in a tournament he generally plays a little tighter than he does when he’s playing in cash games. Trevor watches the World Poker Tour all the time and says he’d be more excited to win the money in a championship than a title, but keep an eye on this up and coming poker player - he may do both.
